JSS 2:
The Significance of the Triumphant entry
1. Triumphant entry is a time Jesus wanted to show His victory over Satan
2. It shows Jesus as the expected Messiah
3. His riding on ass is to fulfill the prophecy of Zechariah that their expected King would come mounted on as ass.
4. It shows Jesus as a Messiah of peace.
5. Jesus wants to encourage Christians to promote peace in their community.
6. Hosanna means “save us” or ‘Help’ but it later became praise.
6. Palm branches/ leaves were used in those days to welcome important and great people.
