On this day the 5th of December 2019, some of our students were taken on an excursion to the National war museum in Umuahia, Abia State. There the students were exposed to many historical artifacts as well as relics of the Nigerian-Biafran civil war. The students were taken round to see some of the equipment that were used to execute the war, which include the Biafran red devils type A and B armored vehicles, war planes, Navy ship etc.
Our next stop was the Ojukwu Bunker which is about 29.9 meters deep. The bunker which was completed in three months while the war was still on served as a fortress and an operational base for Ojukwu and his cabinet. Below are photo excerpts:
