TYPES OF FORCES
There are two Major types of forces and they are as follows
Contact force and Non contact force
1. Contact force -These exists but between two objects in contact.Examples are push,pull,tension, ,and friction.
1 Friction-This opposes movement of one object over the other.
2 Tension-This is a pulling force existing in a stretched string or. a flexible material
Advantages of friction
1.Nuts and bolts stay tight because of friction
2 Brakes are easily. applied because of friction
3 Walking may be difficult without friction
Disadvantages of. friction
1 It causes heat in machines
2 It causes wear and tear in machines 3
4It reduces the efficiency of machines
