CRUDE OIL
CRUDE oil is a dark viscous liquid found in the earth.It is a complex hydrocarbon substance,made of carbon and hydrogen mainly.It is formed from the remains of decayed plants and animals,which are called organic matters.The activities of heat,bacteria and pressure change it to crude oil.The crude oil slowly move through pores or holes in the porous rock layers,untill they meet a non porous rock layers where they become trapped.
Crude oil exploration-
The search for crude oil is called exploration.This can be done through aerial photography,examining surface rocks,mapping and drilling.The geologist begin the work by studying the rock types in suspected oil-rich areas and then use seismic machines to detect oil presence in the area.
